Always in touch when working out - The new Sports headsets from Sennheiser and adidas for the iPhone

The music gets faster, your stride gets longer, the iPhone* rings. No need to stop. The new Sports headsets from Sennheiser and adidas enable you to effortlessly switch from listening to music to answering the phone at the touch of a button. Audio specialist Sennheiser and sports goods manufacturer adidas are extending their joint headphones range with the addition of the CX 680i Sports, MX 680i Sports, OMX 680i Sports and PMX 680i Sports models, which have been specially developed and designed for use with the iPhone.

The new Sports headsets combine top-quality sound and maximum functionality with their convenient hands-free system. “The remote and microphone unit integrated into the cable allows you to seamlessly switch between listening to music and telephoning at the push of a button,” explains Daniel Chee, Product Manager Consumer Electronics at Sennheiser. “If the phone rings, the music is automatically paused and restarts as soon as the phone call is finished. This ensures that you never miss an incoming call or your favourite song." And no matter whether you are listening to music or telephoning, the new Sports headsets guarantee the best sound quality for the iPhone.

Designed for the iPhone
Crystal-clear trebles, powerful bass and an energizing sound – the new headsets are perfectly matched to the iPhone not only for optimum sound quality. A button on the remote control enables you to conveniently control a wide range of functions even during the toughest training sessions: depending on how often and how long the button is pressed, your favourite workout music can be played, paused or skipped to the next/previous track. Telephone calls are also taken, declined and ended using the control unit. If iPhone Voice Control is activated, you can dial a telephone number or select a track simply by speaking into the microphone – without even interrupting your training. And to make sure that the microphone is always in the right place and the cable does not get in the way when you're working out, it comes with a useful cable clip for fixing to the sports apparel.

Rugged training partner
All four Sports headsets are equipped with Sennheiser's moisture protection system. This not only effectively protects the sound system from sweat and rain, it also means that, after your workout, you can simply rinse the headset under the tap. In other ways too, the four Sports models are ideally suited to cope with the extreme demands of sports enthusiasts. Tough and hard-wearing materials are unaffected by vibrations, for example during running, and the fibre-reinforced cables remain soft and flexible even at minus 10 degrees Celsius.

The new product range with remote unit enables you to control the latest generations of iPhone and iPod**. It is available worldwide from July through Sennheiser’s distribution network and at Apple Online and in Apple Stores.
